Xiaomi is back again with another smartphone Redmi Pro, which is the new addition to Xiaomi’s Redmi family. The company launched this smartphone in China on Wednesday and is the first smartphone in Xiaomi family to sport a dual camera setup, and it comes bearing a premium design with three colour options.
The two camera lens modules were first seen on HTC smartphones,but are now in good status after the rumours of the iPhone 7 with a dual camera setup. As an advantage, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pro, a month ahead of Apple’s traditional launch event in the hopes to get some leverage from the buzz.
Redmi Pro possesses some amazing features and some highlights are : It packs a 4050mAh battery and weighs 174 grams.There is fast charging technology as well along with USB Type-C port.Just like Redmi Note 3, Redmi Pro also have an IR blaster which could be used to control various home appliances.All the models are going to be dual SIM 4G devices in which one slot is going to be a hybrid slot. With ‘Hybrid slot’ we mean that one can use that slot as a SIM slot as well as a micro SD card slot.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro runs on Android Marshmallow-based the latest MIUI 8. The new OS, which was unveiled last month,comes with a new interface design, new Calculator app, a Smart menu for editing test, and the new App lock feature that unlocks all apps at once.
Redmi Pro features metallic unibody with 5.5 inch OLED Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass protection . The 5 MP secondary camera and fingerprint scanner is present on the front side of the phone while a 13 MP Sony IMX258 main and Samsung assistive camera duo on the rear side. The home button comes integrated with a fingerprint scanner, and the 3.5mm audio jack is situated on top. The power button, and the volume button are situated at the top right end of the smartphone.
Redmi Pro is powered by MediaTek processor. The base model has Helio X20 10 core processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage space is priced at roughly Rs. 15,100.The mid version is run by Helio X25 with 3GB RAM and 64 GB storage space and is priced at roughly Rs. 17,100 . And the premium version possess the same chipset as the mid version and has 4GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage space that will cost Rs. 20,200.
With some amazing feature and cheap price tag, Xiaomi is expecting to beat its rivals like Vivo and Oppo.However, we expect that the Mi and Redmi fans are going to love this device, but we are still not sure about when it is going to hit the market.
