Xiaomi, which entered the India market in 2014, is celebrating its second anniversary in the country. Mi India has announced a couple of new offers for its Mi 5, Mi 4 smartphones, Mi power bank and Mi in-ear headphones. Mi Anniversary discounts will be available from July 20 to July 22 on Flipkart and Mi.com online. The company also unveiled several new products including Mi power bank with 10,000mAh capacity and Mi Capsule earphones.
Xiaomi is offering a discount of Rs 2,000 on its Mi 5 smartphone, which is now available at Rs 22,999. Mi 4 gets a discount of Rs 4,000; which now costs Rs 10,999. The smartphone is originally price at Rs 14,999. Mi Bluetooth speaker now costs Rs 500 and can be bought at Rs 1,999.

Xiaomi had earlier announced its Re 1 flash sale, which will go live at 2 pm every day. Users can buy Mi 5, Redmi Note 3, Mi Max smartphones, Mi power bank, Mi Band and Mi Bluetooth speakers at Re 1 on a first come first serve basis from July 20 to July 22. The sale requires pre-registrations.
While the Mi 5 smartphone and Mi power bank with 20,000mAh capacity will be available on July 20; Redmi Note 3 and Mi Band 1A can be bought on July 21. Mi Max and Mi Bluetooth speaker will go on sale on July 22.
The new products include Mi power bank with 10,000mAh capacity, Mi Capsule earphones and Mi in-ear headphones Pro in gold colour variant. The new Mi power bank is a business card sized device at priced at Rs 1,299. Mi Capsule headphones are available at Rs 9,99 and Mi in-ear headphones Pro gold at Rs 1,799.
Mi India has launched a few app-based deals too. Mi Store users will get a pair of Mi in-ear headphones pro gold free with Mi 5 gold colour variant. Xiaomi is offering Mi LED light enhanced or Mi USB fan free with Mi power bank of 20,000mAh capacity. Mi USB cable and Mi USB fan comes bundled with Mi 4i.
Users who buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with a phone case will get Rs 100 off on the bundle. Xiaomi is offering a discount of Rs 50 to users who buy Mi Max with a phone case. Also, Mi India will issue coupons worth Rs 1 crore, which will give one lucky user a chance to win the bumper prize – Mi TV.
The journey for Xiaomi, however, hasn’t been a very smooth one in India. The Chinese smartphone maker faced patent issues regarding the use of MediaTek processors in its smartphones in India. Ericsson had moved the Delhi High Court,saying Xiaomi was violating its interim order by selling handsets which do not have chipsets of Qualcomm Incorporated.
Xiaomi recently launched Mi Max phablet with the big 6.44-inch display. Mi Max starts at Rs 14,999 for the 3GB RAM+ 32GB storage version, while the 4GB RAM+ 128GB is priced at Rs 19,999. Xiaomi Mi Max comes in two processor variants – Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 and Snapdragon 652 SoCs.
